Available Positions:
1) Mobile Platform Programmer
We are looking for a Mobile Platform Programmer who can enhance our proprietary game engine and take our internal platform layer and build system to the next level! In addition, the developer will port legacy titles to new platforms as well as maintain an Android port of an upcoming (soon to be announced) AAA mobile side-scroller based on one of the most exciting brands from the 1980’s. This is a six-month contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in the rapidly expanding mobile gaming industry. Opportunities for exceptional candidates to permanently join GlitchSoft’s growing team will likely become available.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for enhancing and maintaining platform abstraction layer and framework
- Maintain and enhance GlitchSoft’s internal build system
- Maintain and update GlitchSoft’s portfolio of exciting titles
- Port and localize GlitchSoft’s hit iOS titles to Android, Playbook, Steam, and OSX platforms
Skills & Qualifications
- Two to five years industry experience
- Previous build and engine development experience
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong C/C++ and Java skills
- Strong knowledge of OO programming and game engine architectures
- Strong knowledge of OpenGL ES or equivalent 3D APIs
- Strong knowledge of Android and iOS development
- Cross platform or multi-platform development experience
- Passion for games and knowledge of the gaming industry and culture
- Exceptional work ethic and ability to work long hours when required
- Strong written and oral communications skills (English)
- Dynamic individual with ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Ability to work on a team and regularly communicate ideas

2) Mobile Game Programmer
We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Game Programmer to work on a soon to be announced AAA mobile side-scroller based on one of the most exciting brands from the 1980’s. Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and implementing game specific entities and behaviors
- Work with project artists and designers to integrate art content into the game
- Contribute to creative process and game design sessions
- Iterate and refine game features to maximize the fun factor and meet the product vision and quality expectations of GlitchSoft’s partners
- Testing: Find and report defects during game development and QA cycles
Skills & Qualifications
- At least one shipped title or a minimum of one year of experience in industry
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong C/C++ and Java skills
- Strong knowledge of OO programming and knowledge of game engine architecture
- Strong knowledge of OpenGL ES or equivalent 3D APIs
- Strong 3d mathematics
- Passion for games and knowledge of the gaming industry and culture
